So you're interested in becoming an Achillean?
What to do:
- Join us for club training runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we both welcome and encourage visitors.
- Make yourself known, introduce yourself to the Road Running Captain so he can welcome you and make a note of your presence.
- Get used to the people, the venue, its facilities and the routes.
- Then after you’ve joined us for a few weeks and you feel you enjoy the club spirit, you fit in and Achilles is for you inform the Road Running Captain that you’d like to apply for membership and he’ll look after the rest.
What we offer:
An organised, well managed club environment with a strong social bent that caters for a motivated happy bunch of people of varied abilities (from “plodders” to medal winners) bound together by their love of running.
What do we expect?
Our motto is LUDUM LUDE – Play the game – so we expect every member to do his or her bit.
We host 5 events a year on the road running calendar and strive to maintain a high standard of organisation which cannot be accomplished without the help of all members. Achilles isn’t a club of convenience that people join just to obtain a road running licence.
See you at Walmer Golf Club on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5.30pm.
