ACHILLES CLUB INCENTIVES There are a number of Incentives for Achilleans 1. SHARWOODS SUPA QUICK MERIT AWARDS (This System rewards fast times) Please look at the Club Merit Table. This Rewards System runs from September to August (or one Annual Dinner to the next) of each year and is awarded at the Annual Dinner (August) each year. A Club Merit will be awarded if a time is met according to age categories and distances and will be rewarded with R50 per Merit Time. Club Colours will be awarded to those athletes who attain Merit Times in FOUR different distances of which one may be a Double. Club Honours will be awarded to those athletes who attain Merit Times in SIX different distances. No doubles are allowed. Merit Certificates (no cash incentive) will also be awarded to those who earn Silver at Two Oceans, Comrades, Bay Ultra 50km. Merit Certificates (no cash incentive) will also be awarded to those who complete 10 Two Oceans, 10 Comrades, 5 Washies and a Permanent Number in any Standard Marathon or Ultra Event. Merit Certificates (no cash incentive) will be awarded to those who represent Eastern Province or South Africa. Sharwoods Supa Quick Merit Awards List for Year 2011 to 2012 (This list will be updated after each event) Sharwoods Supa Quick Merit Awards List for Year 2010 to 2011 2. BRIAN BANDS PARTICIPATION LEAGUE (This League Rewards Club Participation) Achilleans will earn League Points as per the EPA League Table 2011 at all EP League Races. These points will be handicapped by adding to 3 (the average points between 1 to 5) and divided by two. All points for the year (January to December) will added together with a possible 2 x 3 points for participating in two Cross Country Events during the same period and a possible 3 x 1/2 points for participating in three Club Mile Dashes during the same period. The top 30 in the Brian Bands Participation League will earn Brian Bands Vouchers at an Awards Evening in January of the following year. (Much appreciation and thanks to Brian Bands for their continued sponsorship of this annual League. Brian Bands and Achilles both contribute towards the Cash Pot which is allocated to the top 30 participants).

CLUB TROPHIES These trophies are awarded at the AGM in September of each year (except for those Trophies that follow the Annual Jan to Dec Calendar which are awarded at the Brian Bands Awards Evening).
